Mindlyss Designs - New South Wales

I’m a 27-year-old primary school teacher from northern Sydney who began experimenting with polymer clay earrings at the end of 2020. This soon became a big hobby and a great distraction during all the Covid-19 lockdowns in the following years. I began to make so many earrings, that I decided to sell them. Soon, I created my little business Mindlyss Designs.

I find the process of earring-making incredibly therapeutic; my mind switches off and my hands just keep moving for hours on end!! I now make polymer clay/bead earrings, jewellery dishes and gift boxes. I sell my products at many markets towards the end of each year when the big Christmas rush comes. I’m often found running my markets with one of my good friends Verity who also has a little business of her own (handmade scrunchies, bucket hats, Christmas ornaments and more). We love doing collaborations, especially with our (Christmas) gift boxes.

I aim to slowly expand this business over time, increase my social media presence and establish my own website (in addition to Facebook and Instagram pages).
