Meet Antonia

Antonia - Western Australia

Fair Space exists to elevate the power that we each have, through our buying choices, to support the sustainable development of communities around the world through fair and ethical trade. We collaborate with female-led, change-making social enterprises in Eswatini and Cambodia creating products that carry unique stories of impact.

I have worked in international development and ethical retail sectors for over 15 years, including for some of the world's largest Fair Trade Organisations. In these roles, I have seen first-hand the impact that opening new markets for artisan products can have on preserving cultural heritage and creating sustainable livelihoods.

While still a micro business, my goals are to showcase Fair Trade and ethically made products as contemporary and design focussed to connect to new markets, while using Fair Space as a platform for advocating for ethical consumption.

I will be selling our new collection of bags and accessories that are made by a Fair Trade Organisation in Cambodia that supports people with disabilities with training and fair employment. I lived in Cambodia for over 3 years and have strong connections there and work directly with the artisans.
