Cedarwood and Ash is a one woman business making handmade dog accessories for people who love to take their dogs with them everywhere they go. Cedarwood and Ash focuses on making unique, functional and durable products to make dog parents lives easier and keep dogs comfier while still looking adorable.

My why for having a business was originally to have a side hustle to keep my mind busy during the down times of parenting (I soon discovered those downtimes barely exist) while at the same time having the flexibility required for kindy drop off and pickups and the inevitable and constant sick days that come with the first year of day care days. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be, more work for less money than working for an employer, and doesn't always provide a consistent income but I love creating my products, through my business have had the privilege of becoming involved in fostering rescued dogs and rehabilitating them to become ready for their forever homes, and the joy I feel when a customer sends me a happy snap of their pup in one of my products, definitely makes it all worthwhile.
