Meet Diana

Diana - New South Wales

I am 57 years old woman who lives with chronic health problems, and am supposed to find a job. 10 years ago my eldest grandson was diagnosed with Autism and he was nonverbal until he was 5 years old.

This inspired me to start making patchwork quilts and other items for him. Along the way, I found that weighted blankets could help him and back then they were very expensive to buy. I made him a couple that he and his three siblings pass between them.

I have an idea for a fabric store with a difference. I want to sell fabrics as when I am researching materials I am in my happy place, especially indigenous fabric. I get lost for hours. I want to have a yarning circle daily with anyone who wants to learn how to sew and the basics. I also want to be able to give back once my business is successful and support women in need.

At the markets, I sell scrunchies, tote bags, hair claws, hair bows and tea towels.

Thank you for supporting my work!
