Atypical hatched out of longing to remember an authentic world. One where industries no longer project gender and body bias. We support you wearing whatever suits you, in fact - we prefer that you tell us what you want. Above all else we look forward to the more intimate types of interactions. We longed to feel free and birth new beauty standards out of chaos. Finding solace in the realm of the senses - taste, touch, smell, listening and seeing. As the world tightened its grip in 2020, we loosened ourselves to these basic and often understated sensory pleasures. We drove deeper into the senses to find that sweet space underneath the surface that reminds us of happiness and totality.
We conjured our most holy botanical blends to honour the feelings of limb shaking sex, serendipitous moments, the visceral memory of a time passed or the subtlies felt on a walk through misty mountains. Just as the realm of the senses is genderless, fluid and holds no prejudice. Atypical embraces the same logic - identifying with the moments our minds lose control and our bodies become loud, receptive and whole. We ask you to uplift your spirit and celebrate yourself - for there is only one of you, however simple or complex. We ask you to remember the small rituals in everyday life that allow you to first step inside before facing the outside as you-nique, you-centric, you-sexual... you-whatever.
