Hi, I'm MJ. I've taken over WEFTshop as a social enterprise in April this year. I've always had the dream of running my own e-commerce store but was never creative enough to create my own product. I volunteered with WEFTshop for over a year and fell in love with its mission to support women artisans in Burma who are trying to achieve financial freedom.

The opportunity came to me to take over the organisation and run it as an ethical business, so I jumped at it knowing that I could fulfil my dream and also give back to the women who depend on its success to support their own family. My goal is to expand WEFTshop as quickly as I can and make it a full time job for me as well as double the orders I order from the artisans so they can solely depend on WEFTshop's orders to support their family and live comfortably.
